Money Monday
Money Monday are monthly financial education workshops with a WebEx format which will be broadcast to the entire USG. These workshops provide:
Guidance to employees who may be stressed about economic conditions, market fluctuations, and their personal finances.
Education about benefits in the context of personal financial planning including saving, investing, debt management, and planning for the unexpected.
Offer information and resources that empower employees to:
- Take greater responsibility for retirement, saving, and investing decisions
- Handle stressful financial situations that decrease productivity
- Better understand organizational and benefit changes
- Plan around personal life events
When does the program occur? Last business Monday of every month.
What type of topics are covered? Stretching final pennies, Prep next paycheck.
Where does the program occur? Rotate location every month for a live presentation
Can employees attend remotely? Live stream for the system-wide web conference.
ORP & Voluntary Retirement Plans
Please join the Benefits Department, AIG Retirement Services, Fidelity, and TIAA to discuss important strategies for developing effective retirement plans. You are welcome to invite your spouse or significant other to attend this session.

HSA Bank Commuter Benefits
There are many options to consider when traveling to and from work, and there are several options for which we can save on our cost to commute. The payroll deductions for these programs are pretax.
- Commuter Benefits Transit/Parking
HSA Bank is going to provide an informational virtual meeting regarding the Commuter Benefits Plan. HSA Bank is currently the administrator of this program for Georgia State University. The plan was previously administered by Optum. A commuter benefits account is an employer-sponsored benefit program that allows you to set aside pre-tax funds in separate accounts to pay for qualified mass transit and parking expenses associated with your commute to work. You can make elections for the plans in the Benefits Panel of OneUSG. You may refer to the attached Commuter Benefits flyer. Listed below are additional options which are available to faculty and staff. Feel free to contact Auxiliary and Support Services to enroll, request information, or assistance. - Monthly Parking Permit
Faculty/Staff can choose a Payroll Deduction Permit which is a monthly parking permit that allows for unlimited entries.

Discounted MARTA Breeze Cards are available to employees on a monthly basis online via the Parking Portal or in person at the Campus Services customer service counter and through payroll deduction. The Benefits Department will host a TRS New Member Workshop for employees that want to learn the basics about TRS membership. As you begin your career in the University System, it is important to plan early for your retirement and stay abreast of new information and legislation that may affect your retirement benefits.

For Employees within 2 years of retirement – WebEx
The Benefits Department will host two (2) TRS Pre-Retirement Workshops for retirement eligible employees. Retirement is within reach and it's time to get serious about it! This workshop will provide you with the information and resources you need to help you map out your retirement plan.
