A consultation is where a supervisor or employee meets with an employee relations specialist to seek guidance regarding employment-related questions or concerns, such as questions about discipline, policies and procedures, performance management, and conflict resolution. A grievance can be filed within 10 calendar days for the following: involuntary terminations, suspensions, demotions or adverse actions that allegedly violate, misinterpret or improperly apply specific university policies, procedures, rules or regulations. Staff employees must work at least .5 full-time equivalency (FTE) and have completed their six-month provisional employment period to be eligible to file a grievance.

Feel free to add any attachments that may be needed. Once the form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email and you will be contacted by someone in Employee Relations.
