How do I get a refund from the Georgia Defined Contribution Plan (GDCP)?
- The Employees’ Retirement System of Georgia (ERS) requires GDCP members apply for refunds online.
- Log in to your GDCP online account at https://www.ers.ga.gov/pod/request-refund-online select “Log in” to initiate the refund process.
- If you do not have an online account, go to https://portal.ers.ga.gov/ then click the "Register" button.
- In order to be eligible to apply for a refund, you must terminate your GDCP employment. Please allow 2 to 6 weeks from date of termination for your account to be updated to Inactive status

2024 Payroll Leave Accurals Calendar
Leave eligible employees will accrue (earn) leave for the month if they are active on the 15th of the month.
Leave will not be applied retroactively for absences prior to the date on which the leave was made available for use. If an employee begins work at GSU after the 15th of the month, the employee will not accrue leave for the initial partial month of employment.
The leave accrual for regular employees who are employed at least half-time but less than full-time is prorated based upon their standard work hours
Biweekly Paid Employees
Leave is accrued and available for use based on a schedule that aligns with biweekly payroll processing dates, see schedule below.
Monthly Paid Employees
Leave is accrued on the last day of the month and available for use on the first of the following month.
